The Papal Eggs and Cats

Actually, while the Eggs Benedict (below) is a joke, Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, is a cat lover. While pets are currently forbidden in the Vatican, the papal cats are said to be very proud of their CATholic Master. Indeed, the one pictured on the left here has the markings of a priest, black with a white collar. Let us hope it is a male. The all white one (befitting a Pope) seems the most elated by the election. There has been no press release as to where they will be staying in the days ahead. Anyone want to own a papal cat? What would they go for on ebay?

As for the eggs, it was certainly creative; but I really doubt that is the way his Holiness receives his breakfast, at least on a daily basis.

Pray for the Holy Father and for his important work. There is an old saying, "When the cat is away, the mice will play." I think the mice have stopped playing!

Now is the time to break some eggs!
